Terminal Cleaning Guide

Overview

Maintaining clean surfaces in food service areas is essential for meeting state health and safety regulations. This guide covers proper cleaning procedures for your Terminal and associated hardware.


Cleaning Schedule

  • Terminal screen: Clean after each meal period
  • All other hardware: Clean daily (mini computer, switch, printer, and cords)

Cleaning Your Terminal Screen

Step 1: Power Off

Turn off your Terminal before cleaning.

Step 2: Clean the Screen

Using computer screen wipes or a soft, damp cloth (with excess liquid squeezed out), gently wipe the Terminal screen. Allow it to air dry completely.

Approved cleaning solutions:

  • Water (small amount)
  • Computer screen cleaning solution

Important Safety Warnings:

  • ⚠️ SHOCK HAZARD: Never allow liquids or gels to get inside your Terminal
  • ⚠️ Do not use abrasive cloths or materials—this will damage the screen and void your warranty
  • ⚠️ Do not use alcohol solutions stronger than 70% concentration

Disinfecting Your Terminal Screen

Step 1: Prepare the Terminal

Power off your Terminal and complete the cleaning process above first

  • ⚠️ SHOCK HAZARD: Never allow liquids or gels to get inside your Terminal

  • ⚠️ Do not use alcohol solutions stronger than 70% concentration

Cleaning Other Hardware

For your mini computer, switch, printer, and associated cords, follow the same gentle cleaning procedures outlined above on a daily basis. Always ensure equipment is powered off before cleaning and never allow moisture to enter any device openings.
